In Dragonflight, minerals and herbs are pretty abundant, and their respawn rate is quite high. Therefore, to be efficient while gathering them, you don’t actually have to cover wide areas.
The following mining route in Ohn’ahran Plains doesn’t cover the whole zone. However, it actually focuses on three particular areas that hold a high concentration of Draconium Deposits. Of course, you’ll also find a huge amount of Serevite Deposits on this route.
Requirements:
- Dragonflight Mining
- Mining Pick
- At least 5 Dragonflight Vigor
- GatherMate2 addon (optional)
Where to go:
A good place to start your mining session is Ohn’iri Springs (56.6, 76.3). There are many possible Draconium and Serevite Deposit spawn points here. Plus, the area is pretty high, so you’ll benefit from better Vigor management.
What to do:
Follow the route above and mine all the Draconium Deposits and Serevite Deposits that you can find. You can actually skip the plain Serevite Deposits and only go for the “buffed” ones (Primal, Infurious, Hardened, etc); even so, you should still be able to gather a copious amount of Serevite.
The areas with the highest concentration of Draconium Deposits on this route are at:
- Stonefray Falls 44, 32
- Nokhudon Hold 35, 33
- Ohn’iri Springs 59, 77
On this Ohn’ahran Plains mining route, I’ve also found two Rock Walls. Here are their TomTom locations:
/way Ohn’ahran Plains 37.87, 51.61
/way Ohn’ahran Plains 42.62, 63.06
Loot:
After one hour of mining while following this route in Ohn’Ahran Plains, I got the following valuables:
- Draconium Ore x 152
- Serevite Ore x 364
- Khaz’gorite Ore x 36
- Salt Deposit x 44
- Rousing Ire x 22
- Rousing Earth x 100
- Rousing Fire x 52
- Rousing Order x 37
My Mining skill set for this mining session was Mining Process x 35 and Industrialization x 19. I’ve also used basic green mining gear (Tier 2 – 3).
I’ve also got about 35 potions, 30+ Dragon Isles Artifacts, and approx. 1800g from trash loot gathered from the Disturbed Dirt and the Expedition Packs I found while mining.
Tips:
If you’re still new to Dragonflight Mining and don’t know what skills to train first, it’s pretty much vital to put your first 35 points into Mining Process. This will allow you to gather minerals while mounted.
Don’t forget to also unlock Mastering the Elements in your Mining Specializations tab. You don’t have to train any points in this trait at the beginning, just unlock it. By unlocking it, you’ll get the Overload Elemental Deposit ability. You can use this on “buffed” (Molten, Primal, Hardened, etc) ore deposits to get extra materials or buffs.
If you have at least level 5 reputation with the Dragonscale Expedition, it’s a good idea to always have a few Sturdy Expedition Shovels with you while mining. These give you the possibility to dig up the Disturbed Dirt nodes. They grant potions, valuable trash loot, reputation tokens, and more.
If the What Hoof We Here: Tarolekk world quest is up at Nokhudon Hold, the area becomes a no-fly zone. Therefore, if you fly above the centaur pit at Nokhudon, you’ll be thrown off your dragon. You can still fly around the pit and mine the ore deposits that pop on the peaks nearby without being thrown off the dragon, though. But since this is a PvP quest, players may throw you off the mount as well.
