Dragonflight – Azure Span Treasures Route

Treasure hunting isn’t as profitable as high-level crafting in Dragonflight. However, since you’re basically farming trash loot, you don’t have to involve the Auction House, and it’s all pretty much profit. So, if you’re in quick need of gold on a realm you’ve just started, you can get a few thousand in less than an hour.

As opposed to the Thaldraszus route that we’ve already covered, this route in Azure Span requires quite a bit of area to cover. The Disturbed Dirt, Expeditions Scout’s Packs, Tuskarr Tackleboxes, and other treasures seem to be more numerous, though.

Requirements:

• Iskaara Tuskarr Renown Level 27
• Dragonscale Expedition Renown Level 5
• Sturdy Expedition Shovels
• Merchant Mount (optional)

Where to go:

Fly to Rhonin’s Shield (65, 25) in The Azure Span and have this location as a starting point for your treasure hunt. It’s actually pretty close to a set of caves that have multiple possible spawn points for treasures.

What to do:

Follow the route above and collect all the Tuskarr Tackleboxes, Disturbed Dirt, Expedition Scout’s Packs, and other types of chests that you can find.

The areas at Brackenhide Hollow and Cobalt Assembly also hold several spawn locations for treasures. However, they’re packed with elite mobs. So, if you want to venture inside these camps, proceed with care. Stealth and Potions of Hushed Zephyr can help.

The Tuskarr Tackleboxes respawn rate in The Azure Spawn seems to be longer than for the ones in Thaldraszus. Or… once you picked up some of them at a certain location, they may spawn at a different one.

Loot:

After one hour of treasure hunting following this route in The Azure Span, I got the following valuables:

• Dull Spined Clam x 5
• Potions x 45
• Fish x 23
• Flightstones – 83
• Dagon Isles Artifact – 44
• Titan Relic – 3
• Sacred Tuskarr Totem – 4
• Gold (after selling trash loot): 7,735g

The auctionable loot is of rather insignificant value compared to the trash loot I vendored.

Tips:

Treasure hunting is always best done in a zone different from the current week’s Sparks of Life quest location. Most treasures drop Sparks of Life and players will gather them. So, there will be a pretty drastic shortage in the zone where the quest is located.

Make sure you don’t end up without any Expedition Shovels. Without any in your inventory, you won’t be able to see Disturbed Dirt on your radar.

Depending on the professions you have, you can gather various reagents from some of these treasures. The list includes Shock-Spring Coils, Greased-Up Gears, Spools of Wilderthread, and more.

To be able to find and loot Tuskarr Tackleboxes, you need to have 27 Renown reputation with the Iskaara Tuskarr faction. However, the route above covers many other types of treasures and you should be able to get at least a few 1000s gold in an hour, even if you can’t loot tackleboxes.
