TBC leather leg enchantments typically require quite a bit of materials and most of them don’t come cheap. For example, for Cobrahide Leg Armor, you need 4 x Primal Air which cost a lot, over 400g. That’s why not many leatherworkers craft any TBC enchantments, and you won’t find too many in AH these days. However, Clefthide Leg Armor enchantments aren’t that costly to craft, and since they are awesome leg mods for lvl 50-60, they usually sell like hot cakes.
So, here’s a short guide for this craft:
Requirements:
- Leatherworking skill 335;
- Pattern: Clefthide Leg Armor.
Now, the pattern is sold by Fedryen Swiftspear (79,63) in Zangarmarsh, at Cenarion Refuge. And to get it, you need to be Honored with Cenarion Expedition. It’s not too difficult to get Honored with them though, and it’s worth to get this recipe.
To craft it, you’ll need:
Materials:
- Heavy Knothide Leather x 4
- Thick Clefthoof Leather x 8
- Primal Earth x 4
The most expensive is the Heavy Knothide Leather. But before buying any, check the price of Knothide Leather. To craft 4 x Heavy Knothide Leather you’ll need a stack of simple Knothide Leather, which might be much cheaper, usually 40-50g tops. The Thick Clefthoof Leather is usually 30-40g per stack, fairly cheap, while Primal Earth normally does not exceed 4-5g each. In other words, you’ll be spending about 70-75g for a Clefthide Leg Armor, but you can surely sell it for 3-400g.
By the way, in case you want to farm some of the materials, a good place to get Knothide Leather and Thick Clefthoof Leather is near Garadar, in the TBC Nagrand.
