Primal Might is a crafting material required for over 40 items, and even though the days of the Burning Crusade are long gone, there still is a demand for it. Many players want old TBC items as transmog gear, such as Dirge, Felsteel Longblade, Hammer of Righteous Might, or Hard Khorium Goggles. They all require Primal Might, and this reagent isn’t quite easy to get.
Here’s the easiest way to craft and sell Primal Might.
Requirements:
- Minimum level 75;
- Alchemy: minimum 350 skill;
- The Recipe: Transmute Primal Might;
- Epic flying mount;
- Fishing: minimum 1 skill;
- Master Transmuter (optional).
What to do:
Step 1. If you don’t haven’t learned the Recipe: Transmute Primal Might yet, you can buy it from Skreah at (46,20) in Shattrath City. Or, you can buy it from AH, but keep in mind that in AH it’s typically overpriced.
Step 2. Buy at least 3 x Primal Fire, 3 x Primal Earth, 3 x Primal Mana from the Auction House. These are typically cheap, sometimes 2-3g each. Anyway, you normally shouldn’t spend more than 60-70g on these.
To craft one Primal Might, you’ll need:
- Primal Earth x 1
- Primal Fire x 1
- Primal Water x 1
- Primal Air x 1
- Primal Mana x 1
Step 3. Farm your Primal Water and Primal Air. Now, you can of course, buy these from AH as well. But they’re usually expensive. For example, a Primal Air can go up to 250g each, and a Primal Water, up to 100-150g. That’s why it’s best to farm them.
So where to farm these? One of the best spots where you can farm Primal Air and Water is at the Throne of Elements (62,20), in northern Nagrand.
You’ll find four types of elemental mobs here: wind, water, earth and fire. Needless to say, they drop Motes of Air, Motes of Water, Motes of Earth and Motes of Fire. However, you should focus only on killing the Crashing Wave-Spirits and Storming Wind-Rippers, to get your Primal Water and Primal Air.
Motes of Water can also be fished from the Pure Water pools, at the spot where you’ll find the water elementals. Anyway, for fishing Motes of Water in Nagrand, you can find a full guide, here.
Anyway, within one hour of farming you should get enough Motes of Water and Air for 3-4 Primals.
Step 4. Once you have at least 3 Primals of each type, craft your Primal Might. You should get at least 3, but if your alchemist is specialized as a Master Transmuter, each craft has a chance to proc 1-2 additional Primal Might.
Step 5. Auction your Primal Might. Usually, a Primal Might sells for 400-450g. So, even if you spend 250g (buying ALL the materials for one) you should still get at least 200g profit for each Primal Might sold. However, if you farm the most expensive Primals required for a Primal Might, you should get at least 1200-1300g profit, for 3 crafted and sold Primal Might.
